Track a workout

Start a workout

Tap the + button next to the tabs. The menu shows:

  • the training day that is due, at the top
  • Other days of your active plan
  • Free workout, without a plan, for any exercise from the catalog
  • Other plan, to train a day from a plan that is not active

You can also start the next day right from the Up next card on Home.

Pick your exercises

Tap Add exercise to open the pool of today’s training day. You see every block with its progress, for example 1/2–3, and what you did on this day last time. Pick any exercise from the pool. Need something that is not in your plan? Tap + Other exercise (whole catalog).

Log your sets

For each set, enter weight and reps and tap the check mark. Depending on the exercise, Frame asks for reps only, a time, or a distance and a time instead. Next to each exercise you see the target from your plan and what you lifted last time.

Rest timer

Checking off a set starts the rest timer. It uses the rest time of that exercise in your plan, otherwise the default of 90 seconds. You can add time while it runs.

Notes

Tap Workout note to write down how the session went, for example sleep, pain or time pressure.

Finish or discard

Tap Finish workout when you are done. If sets are still open or a target of your plan is not met, Frame lists them and asks whether to finish anyway. Discard workout deletes the session without saving it to your history.

Pick up where you left off

You can only have one workout running at a time. If you leave the app or it closes, your workout stays open. Tap Resume workout on Home to continue.

With Apple Health turned on, every finished workout is saved to Apple Health automatically (iPhone only).
