How personal records work
Frame compares the best set of each workout using an estimated one-rep max. A workout sets a PR when it beats every earlier workout with that exercise. The first time you do an exercise only sets the baseline. Each exercise can get at most one PR per workout.
How sets are counted per muscle
Every exercise counts as a full set for its primary muscle group. In statistics, secondary muscles, shown as Also works, get half a set. Plan blocks, weekly goals on Home and plan goals only count the primary group.
